From July 30 to August 8, 2027, Lorient hosts the 56th edition of the Interceltique Festival, the world's largest gathering of Celtic cultures. Over 700,000 visitors flock to the bay of Lorient every year for ten days of concerts, parades, giant fest-noz, exhibitions and street performances celebrating Brittany, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Galicia, Asturias, Cornwall, Acadia and the Isle of Man.

2027 edition: celebrating the women of the Celtic nations
The 56th Interceltique Festival will be dedicated to the women of the Celtic nations: musicians, singers, dancers and artists from Brittany, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Galicia, Asturias, Cornwall, the Isle of Man and the Celtic diaspora. As every year, Breton bagadou, Scottish pipe bands, Irish harpists and Galician groups will be there.
Highlight not to miss: the Grand Parade of Celtic Nations, traditionally held on the festival's first Sunday (Sunday August 1, 2027), with over 3,000 musicians and dancers parading through Lorient in traditional costumes. The full programme will be published on festival-interceltique.bzh; you can also count on free concerts at Espace Marine, fest-noz at Quai des Indes and the Magic Night closing the festival.
How to reach the festival from the campsite
Le Moulin des Oies Campsite in Belz is strategically located 20-25 minutes from the Lorient festival hub. Here are all your options to get there while avoiding the busy summer crowds.
Your transport options:
- By car (recommended off peak hours): 25 km via the D194 and N165, allow 25-35 min depending on traffic. Park-and-ride at Keroman, Lanester and Kerentrech. Avoid the saturated city centre during parades.
- By festival shuttle: special shuttles run by Lorient Agglomeration operate during the FIL from the park-and-ride lots to the centre. Discount fares with the festival pass.
- By train (Auray-Lorient): Auray TER station is 15 min from the campsite, then 20 min by train to Lorient. Ideal for evening concerts when you plan to enjoy the festive atmosphere.
- By carpool: many campers share rides via the noticeboard at our reception. We coordinate group departures for the headline evenings.
- By bike (active travellers): via the Auray-Lorient greenway, allow 1h30. Perfect for parade mornings in fine weather.

Do I need tickets for the Interceltique Festival 2027?+
Many open-air concerts and events (Espace Marine, Quai des Indes, parades) are free. Indoor concerts (Grand Théâtre, Palais des Congrès), headline shows and the Magic Night require a ticket. Ticket sales usually open several months before the festival on festival-interceltique.bzh.

Can we return late to the campsite after concerts?+
Vehicle access to the campsite closes at 10:30 p.m. For later returns after concerts, park outside the campsite and walk to your accommodation. For evenings that run late, prefer the train from Auray TER station (15 min from the campsite), carpooling between campers (coordinated at reception) or the special FIL shuttles. Quiet hours start at 10:30 p.m. for your neighbours' comfort.
