Quiberon: the call of the open sea and the Wild Coast

A spectacular peninsula on Belz's doorstep

Leaving the gentle Ria d'Étel to reach Quiberon is treating yourself to a pure shot of iodine. Only 25 minutes from the campsite, discover a landscape of cliffs torn by the Atlantic, authentic fishing harbours and the boarding pier for the Ponant islands.

“The grand spectacle of the Ocean, between granite cliffs and fine sand beaches.”

Adventure with serenity

In summer, take the famous “Le Tire-Bouchon” train linking Auray to Quiberon to avoid the isthmus traffic jams. For the sporty, the surf spots of Plouharnel (at the entrance to the peninsula) are among the most renowned in Brittany.

Quiberon in spring: the Wild Coast all to yourself

Spring is the ideal season to roam the Quiberon peninsula. Enjoy the Wild Coast without the summer traffic jams — the hiking paths facing the ocean are deserted, offering a unique one-on-one with the elements. The famous Tire-Bouchon little train resumes service in spring, linking Auray to Quiberon through landscapes in bloom.

In April-May, Belle-Île-en-Mer is accessible without the high-season queues: embark at Port-Maria and discover the island in serenity. Back on the peninsula, the seafood terrace restaurants of Port-Maria welcome you to taste oysters and lobsters facing the harbour. Discover all the reasons to camp in Brittany in spring.

Quiberon by day, Belz by night

The peninsula is an intense destination. Staying at Le Moulin des Oies is the privilege of stepping back from the tourist effervescence to find the calm of a classified natural site on the Ria d'Étel.

After facing the sea spray, nothing beats a plunge into our private seawater pool to relax before a peaceful night at the heart of the park.

“Find the silence and serenity of the Ria after the tumultuous spectacle of the Ocean.”
