Lorient Interceltique Festival 2026: your campsite 20 minutes away

The world's largest Celtic festival, just minutes from the campsite

From July 31 to August 9, 2026, Lorient hosts the 55th edition of the Interceltique Festival, the world's largest gathering of Celtic cultures. Over 700,000 visitors flock to the bay of Lorient every year for ten days of concerts, parades, giant fest-noz, exhibitions and street performances celebrating Brittany, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Galicia, Asturias, Cornwall, Acadia and the Isle of Man.

Just 20 minutes by car away, Le Moulin des Oies Campsite in Belz is the ideal base for living the festival without dealing with Lorient's crowds. Private beach on the Ria d'Étel, natural seawater pool, spacious mobile homes and shaded pitches: enjoy the Celtic vibe by day and the Breton calm by night.

“By day, the party. By night, the lapping of the ria.”

2026 edition: Cornwall, guest of honour

The 2026 theme of the Interceltique Festival is « Cornwall, at the heart of the Celtic Sea ». English Cornwall is the guest of honour for this 55th edition, with a dedicated programme blending Cornish music, traditional dance and Celtic maritime heritage. Breton bagadou, Scottish pipe bands, Irish harpists and Galician groups complete the line-up.

Highlight not to miss: the Grand Parade of Celtic Nations, on Sunday August 2, 2026 at 10 a.m., with 3,500 musicians and dancers parading through Lorient in traditional costumes. Also on the bill: singer Denez presenting his thirteenth album « Toenn-vor » at Lorient Theatre, the Horizons Celtiques encounters on August 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6, plus free concerts at Espace Marine, fest-noz at Quai des Indes and the Magic Night closing the festival.
