Anglers' campsite: catch sea bass, bream and mackerel on the Ria d'Étel

Anglers' campsite: catch sea bass, bream and mackerel on the Ria d'Étel

The ideal fishing campsite between ria and ocean

Le Moulin des Oies Campsite, on the edge of the Ria d'Étel in Belz, is one of the most complete stops for anglers in South Brittany. Our private beach 50 metres from the pitches opens directly onto the ria — a recognised playground for sea bass fishing. The port of Étel is 5 minutes away, the launching point for boat trips; the long ocean beaches of Erdeven are 10 minutes away for surfcasting.

Whether you're a shore-fishing forager looking for cockles and clams as the tide drops, a shore caster targeting bass and bream at first light, or a boat angler ready to head offshore with a local guide, this stop is built for amateurs and passionate fishermen alike.

“The Ria d'Étel and its passes: one of the most respected sea-bass spots in Morbihan.”

Is the campsite open in the shoulder seasons for anglers?+

The campsite is open from 3 April to 26 September 2026. April, May, June and September are ideal for anglers: fewer crowds, lower rates, ACSI CampingCard accepted, and excellent fishing conditions.

Can I head out at sea from the campsite?+

The port of Étel is 5 minutes away by car. Our partners Peskanim and Escale Ria run guided fishing trips from there. Exact formats (½ day, full day, prices) are confirmed directly with them or through reception.

Do I need a fishing licence at sea?+

No. Recreational sea fishing — on foot or with a rod — is free in France for personal consumption. However, strict regulations on minimum sizes and catch quotas must be respected.

The campsite doesn't rent gear directly. Check with the local fishing shops in Étel or Erdeven, or bring your own. Our team can point you in the right direction on arrival.

Are there pitches suited to early-rising anglers?+

Yes, several pitches close to the private beach let you head out on foot at first light without disturbing neighbours. Mention this when you book.
